Great image!.. only suggestion I would make is I think it could do with a bit of diffraction on the submerged portion of the body (like how light adds and subtracts on a swimming pool floor) (EDIT: like this: cdn.instructables.com/F6J/0HHY… )

you would get it on most surfaces because of how the light bends in water.. I think it would have to be really subtle though.. otherwise you could lose the scales

If your using water, not saying this would be easy, maybe figure out a way to make the hair look a little wet. But that's just my opinion. I like this! Its really good!

I think I found the answer. You use the plastic filter and very lightly. I am going to mess with it a little and see if I can  figure something out.
